Effective Use Of PowerPoint
How often we have groaned when someone sets up their PowerPoint presentation, having difficulty in getting it to work, showing us all the preliminary bits on the screen before proudly presenting us with the recommended six points on the screen and proceeding to talk while people yawn or switch off?
If you want to avoid being one of those people please come on this workshop.
You will need to bring an example of what you plan to do, be able to set it up yourself and be willing to have an open discussion about what you want to achieve and how you could do that effectively.
I will make sure that we create a safe place in which to discuss the merits of your planned presentation as well as ways in which you might improve it including:-
- What your aims are
- Where PowerPoint is effective and where it is not
- How people learn and absorb information
- How to design a presentation that includes the use of PowerPoint
- The uses of the techniques available
Basically I shall be a typical member of your audience and be willing to give you real help in making your presentations interesting, attractive lively and effective.
Participants will go away with a better understanding of the best uses for PowerPoint.
